This is a design-build (DB) project to replace the antiquated fire alarm city boxes with a new fire alarm reporting modules that is compatible with the existing base-wide fire alarm signaling system. In FY16, the PSNS & NBK-Bremerton has standardized the base-wide fire alarm signaling system utilizing System 3505 Universal Alarm Receiver (System 3505) and its components manufactured by Digitize, Inc. In FY18, various buildings/facilities were upgraded and connected to the new technology signaling system. The new frontend equipment is located in the tunnel of Building 850 and monitored in Building 78 Dispatch, Building 467 Dispatch and by the Bangor Base Regional Dispatch Center (RDC). Existing fire alarm city master boxes shall be replaced with MUXPAD II reporting modules and be connected to Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) allowing each FACP to be monitored for "COMMON ALARM", "COMMON TROUBLE" AND "SUPERVISORY" signals. This project will continue the modernization of the entire Base into a new technology fire alarm signaling system by replacing all antiquated fire alarm city boxes with a new technology fire alarm reporting modules and its related accessories. Considering the complexity and work phasing within the piers and dry docks areas, these areas were not included in this project but will be replaced in the next phase of this work.
