Renovation of a mixed-use development in Rome, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Installation of Water Heaters/Hot Water Storage Tank For Floyd County Prison. Please note that the use of brand name products is for benchmark purposes only. This indicates the quality of the products desired and Floyd County will accept units that are of equal or better quality. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor will provide all tools, materials, and labor to replace the current system with a system that would be equal to or better quality than the Rinnai CU199iN Tankless Water Heater. This may require the Contractor to create a "rack of tanks" and we would like total capacity to equal to 995,000 Btu. The Contractor will replace the 1000-gallon hot water storage with a 500-gallon hot water storage tank. The tank will sit in the same place as the1000-gallon that will be removed. The Contractor will modify the existing gas distribution system and water distribution system to accommodate the new design. The Contractor will use new copper piping and fittings from the previously removed sections to the new water heater system and storage tank to eliminate the risk of the existing copper piping and fitting developing leaks in the future. The Contractor will also need to include the installation of a new hot water recirculating pump that will cycle hot water between the 500-gallaon storage tank and the Rinnai System. The Contractor would need to be able to provide a termination vent which should be located 8 10 feet above ground level to help avoid internal tampering. It would also need to contain an expanded metal screen to help prevent debris from entering the venting system. Liquidated Damages: None A Bid Bond of 5% will be required. The winning bidder should be prepared to supply a Performance and Payment Bond of 100%. The County reserves the right to waive compliance by any applicant with any provision contained in this request whenever the County in its sole discretion believes such waiver is in the Countys best interests.
