Bidding Documents: Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained, at Bidders Cost,from the printer, A & D Technical Supply, 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, Nebraska (402-592-4950), between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Question Deadline 01/07/2024 Submit all questions about Bidding Documents to the Architect. The Architect/ Engineer and the Owner will not be responsible for oral clarification. Questions received less than 48 hours before the bid opening that will affect project construction schedule or project cost cannot be answered. Questions that involve clarification of the Bidding Documents can be answered until the bid date and hour. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. This entire project is within Black Elk Elementary School, 6708 South 161st Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska 68135 . The project consists of the replacement of a folding panel partition. B. Work under this contract includes all material, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a workmanlike manner, the work required for the construction of the Black Elk Elementary School - Stage Door Replacement. C. Renovations will take place during staff and student summer vacation but various areas of the facility will be occupied by the summer school activities. Contractors and District staff will workclosely to isolate areas of work. D. Work in the facility shall be allowed during normal working hours throughout the project, however, the contractor must provide, at all times, for clear exit paths, proper lighting, and fire/smoke protection (subject to approval of all authorities having jurisdiction) and protection against any and all fumes and odors caused by construction activities. The contractor shall halt or modify any activities the Owner determines to be disruptive in any manner to their continued use of the building. E. In addition to any temporary walls shown in these documents, temporary walls may be required in areas of construction depending on the type of work being performed in certain areas. SCHEDULE: General Contractor will start the work on May 24, 2024, will substantially complete the work on or before July 28, 2024 and will achieve final completion of the work on or before August 12, 2024.
