Erosion control within the public right of way included in The Village at Sugar Creek Plat 1. The project included 1360 CY of Excavation, 114 LF of 36 inch CMP culvert and end section, 7 acres Seeding, Fertilizing and Mulching, 180 SQ of Temporary Rolled Erosion Control Product, 170 tons of Rock Check Dam, 100 tons Class D Revetment, 140 tons of Erosion Stone, 12,000 LF of Silt Fence, 280 SQ of Turf Reinforcement Mat, 288,500 SF of Surface Roughening and other miscellaneous construction Work on said project shall commence within 10 days of written notice to proceed and shall be completed by April 15, 2024. Liquidated damages in the amount of Two Hundred and Fifty dollars ($250.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any and/or all technicalities and/or all irregularities. The City Council of West Des Moines, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract, and Estimate of Costs for the construction of said improvements at 5:35 p.m. on January 16, 2024 in the Council Chambers, 4200 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines.
