The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation is accepting sealed proposals for WAN services between schools and the district office The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through fair and competitive negotiations for WAN services. The services requested in these documents are part of the E-Rate filings for Funding Year 2024. Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) seeks to lease lit network capacity to provide an eligible Standalone Data Transmission (WAN) Service between its eligible sites and its network head-ends, beginning July 1, 2024. Bidders are advised that this project will be contingent upon the successful obtaining of E-Rate funding and an EVSC-issued Notice to Proceed, and the contract agreement between the EVSC and the selected vendor must recognize that contingency. As evidence of financial responsibility, all responses to this RFP require a bid bond or certified check in an amount of $1,000 to the EVSC. All bids not accompanied by bid bonds or certified checks payable to the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation could be rejected as non-responsive. All bid bonds will be returned once a contract is awarded and signed. Vendors may be required to submit a Performance Bond during contract negotiations. When the EVSC enters into final contract negotiations with a Vendor or Vendors, EVSC may require Vendor(s) to provide a performance bond up to 100% of the projected annual amount, which may be used to satisfy any direct damages to the EVSC resulting from Vendors failure and/or refusal to engage in good faith negotiations and/or honor the terms of its proposal and/or contract. The bond must remain in effect for the duration of the contract, and all subsequent years should the right to an extension be exercised
