The project involves the construction of approximately 6,900 linear feet of improvements of Lincoln Avenue from Texas Avenue to University Drive. The existing asphalt road will be replaced with concrete pavement with curb and gutter with a shared use path on both sides of Lincoln Avenue. Construction will include, but is not limited to, concrete pavement, roundabouts, retaining walls, signing and striping, storm sewer, water/wastewater lines, tree removal, traffic signal infrastructure, and erosion control measures. All proposals shall follow the format provided by the City of College Station. The City is seeking a construction company with quality experience in road and utility reconstruction. This construction must achieve substantial completion within 425 calendar days. All work shall be performed after 8:00 AM and before 5 PM. The City has established $7,200,000.00 as the estimated construction budget for all the Work including alternates as described in the Drawings, Technical Specifications, and other Contract Documents prepared by the A/E. Statement of Work: o Removal of existing pavement, base, and utilities. o Subgrade preparation and construction of concrete pavement. o Construction of water/waste water line and storm sewer. o Traffic Signal and Camera installation. o Contractor shall coordinate all work, inspections, and approvals with the City of College Station. o Contractor shall coordinate with residents for fence removals. o Contractor shall not disrupt solid waste collection or postal services. o Project shall comply with the United States Occupational Safety & Health Administration regulations. o Methods & Means of construction shall be compliant with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations. This includes obtaining all necessary permits and inspections. o Contractor to adhere to City of College Station construction administration procedures. o Maintain and submit all project records such as record drawings, project manuals, and warranties for approval by the City of College Station.
