Bids shall be accepted only from contractors who are licensed under LA-R.S.37:2150-2163 for the classification of MECHANICAL. Note, this bid is for a Davis Bacon prevailing wage project. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements noted in R.S. 38:2219.A.( l )(a), (b) and (c). The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. Bidders and Sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to reach the Engineer Question Deadline 01/24/2024 The project consists of (but is not limited to) the following: 1. Enhancing the indoor air quality for the school by means of upgrading filtration efficiencies. 2. Removal of the existing 4-pipe fan coil units. 3. Removal of the existing 4-pipe air handling units. 4. Removal of the existing boiler. 5. Removal of the existing chiller. 6. Removal of the existing hot water pump(s). 7. Removal of the existing chilled water pump(s). 8. Removal and replacement of the existing exhaust fan(s). 9. Add VRF DOAS system(s). 10. Remove the existing 4-pipe chilled/hot water HVAC systems and replace with new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) HVAC heat recovery systems. Add bipolar ionization modules to the VRF units. 11. Provide new ductwork and diffusers. 12. Upgrade the existing Siemens BMS with new Desigo Building Management System with new DDC controls: a. Add a new Siemens Desigo system (Powers of Louisiana). Add new BMS BACNET panels, gateways, control wiring, control conduit, firmware and DDC controls. b. Desigo Migration Scope of Work: Ensure that all Area Level Controllers (PXC controllers) have the most up to date firmware revisions. Graphics shall be built or transferred from the existing BMS system to the new Siemens DESIGO System. Trends and Scheduled data will transferred over to the new Desigo System from the original system. The new Desigo Front End will be added to a Windows 10 Computer and will reside the Rapides Parish School Board Maintenance office (Contact: Joey Tyler w/RPSB). 13. Remove and replace the DX-Split heat pump units, replace the thermostats to BACNET capable thermostats, and balance the supply airflow per the TAB specifications.
