Governing Board of the Grossmont Union High School District ("District") is inviting qualified and experienced contractors to submit sealed bids for the construction project described below. Asphalt Paving Repairs And Reconstruction At Three Sites Cn-3701 Any bid received by the District after the Bid Deadline shall be returned to the bidder unopened. Reconstruction of asphalt pavements at Grossmont, West Hills and Chaparral. Miscellaneous asphalt repairs at Grossmont. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided by the District and included in the bid documents. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to this Notice Inviting Bids, the Instructions for Bidders, and other Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Except as provided in Public Contract Code Section 5100 et seq., no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the opening of the bids. This bid is subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements. Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. District is required to have 3% percentage each year. Bidder must provide a DVBE prime or subcontractor at 3% or complete the Good Faith Efforts package. District will place DVBE ad. All paperwork due at time of bid. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bond made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Any bond must have been issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120.
