New Belmont Municipal Skating Rink. This is a CM at Risk project with Skanska USA as the CM at Risk. The trades below are requesting qualification statements be submitted for the respective sections of work. Many sections of work have already been prequalified, except these following sections of work. Roofing - Membrane Roofing systems ($200,000); Misc Glass & Glazing ($50,000); Resilient Flooring Systems ($200,000). A new skating rink is to be constructed in the approximate location of the soon to be demolished existing skating rink. The rink structure will be a pre-engineered metal building of approximately 40,000 SF The project will be subject to the minimum wage rates set under the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws. The Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) participation goal for this project is a combined goal of 10.4%. The combined goal requests a reasonable representation of both MBE and WBE firm participation on the project as further set out in the Owner-CM Agreement and the General Conditions of the Contract. Pursuant to M.G.L c. 30 sect. 39S9(a)(2) all employees to be employed on the project must have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by OSHA and of at least 10 hours in duration. All employees to be employed on the project will be required to successfully meet the Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check requirements of the Belmont Public Schools prior to beginning work. (The rink is on School controlled property).
