Renovation of a detention facility in Hudson, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Notice is hereby given that St. Croix County will receive sealed bids for a single prime contract to complete the Dayroom Railing improvement project at the St Croix County Jail, located at 1101 Carmichael Road Hudson, WI 54016. The project consists of providing construction services to complete the work to remove the existing rails on the stairs and mezzanine in the Jail housing units A, B, C, and D and replace them with a new railing system. Envelopes containing bids must be sealed, marked "Dayroom Railing Improvements" with the name and address of the bidder, and the date and hour of the opening. Bids may not be withdrawn or modified within 60 days after Bids are opened. The Owner's intent of award or judgment will be announced within that period. The completed form shall be without alterations, additions, or erasures. All bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Make Bids on the bid form supplied in the specifications. No oral, telegraphic, emailed or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to St. Croix County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond. St. Croix County reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part, and to waive bidding informalities or irregularities, and to award the contract in the best interests of the County. The Owner may make investigations as deemed necessary to determine the qualifications and ability of the Bidders to perform the work. State of Wisconsin policies regarding payment of minimum wages and equal employment opportunity apply to this project. Pre Bid Meeting Description: This is not a mandatory meeting; however, attendance is strongly recommended. Bidders shall visit the construction site to obtain firsthand knowledge of the existing conditions, including existing utilities and service, obstacles which may be encountered and all other conditions relative to the work to be performed. This will be the only opportunity for Bidders to access the site.
