Engineering Services RFQ - The scope of the project area is located within the floodplain of Little Gunpowder Creek and consists of raising the access road to the South Caldwell Pump Station to above base flood elevation to ensure access during a flooding event. The scope of engineering services includes design and permitting for the project as well as construction oversight and any required reporting. The Town of Sawmills has received approval of a $270,000 BRIC grant. The scope of the project area is located within the floodplain of Little Gunpowder Creek and consists of raising the access road to the South Caldwell Pump Station to above base flood elevation to ensure access during a flooding event. The scope of engineering services includes design and permitting for the project as well as construction oversight and any required reporting. One requirement of the BRIC program is to request qualifications for engineering services for which grant funds will be used. BRIC funds will finance 70% of the total project costs. The Town is seeking professional engineering services including design and permitting for the project as well as construction oversight, contract administration, and any required reporting through the final certification on the project. The Town of Sawmills reserves the right to accept a firm that is most advantageous to the Town. Selection will be made based on evaluation factors of past performance, experience with the project type and funding requirements, professional personnel, experience and availability. Awards will be made to the responsible/qualified firm whose qualifications are most advantageous to the program.
