The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain quotes and/or bids to provide: Mowing and landscape maintenance of City Property Nuisance mowing Snow & Ice Bidders may bid the package as a whole or provide individual bids for the services requested. The contractual service agreement will be for (3) years or 2024 through 2026. To be considered, each Contractor must submit a completed proposal bid form, certificate of liability insurance, and any additional information requested in the RFP with their proposal packet. The proposal bid form must be signed and include a statement as to the period during which the proposal remains valid. Responses to this RFP will be evaluated based on a selection process consisting of: o A review by the City of the Contractor's response to the RFP, to determine if the proposal meets all criteria for consideration. o Relevant experiences, project understanding, project requirements, strength of the proposal, and proposed fees. Selection by February 8, 2024 The work to be completed will include bi-weekly (twice a month) mowing and as needed mowing yards (monthly) maintaining grass and vegetation within each reported area neatly and professionally. Greenery in and around structures, walks, trees, parking areas, sidewalks, or other similar items shall be mowed to a neat appearance as well as string trimmer (weed eater, weed whipping, etc.). The Contractor shall neatly mow grass and vegetation to a height of 2.5 inches (2.5"). All trash, limbs and debris in the mowing area shall be removed from the area before and after mowing by the Contractor. Grass and vegetation clippings shall be blown or swept off walkways, driveways, trails, sidewalks, etc. Vegetation clippings shall not be blown or deposited on the city streets or walkways. A number of areas described above dry out and do not grow during hot periods of the summer months. It will be the contractor's responsibility to factor this into their bidding for services listed in Exhibit A as {Bi-weekly} (may not need to be mowed every 2 weeks) to provide the best possible price. The City expects these areas to be kept in a neat and orderly groomed appearance. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to choose a mowing cycle for each area to meet the expectation of the approval of the Asst. City Manager. The following locations may need additional mowing (or when requested) during wet periods (bi-weekly) and shall be billed at the unit price submitted by the contractor when additional mowing is required. o 410 N. Penn - Memorial Hall o 220 E. Maple - Library o 120 N. 6th - City Hall o 300 blk N. 8th parking and vacant lot o 401 N. Penn - Celebration Park o 119 N. 6th - Parking lot by VFW o 200 N. 6th - City Hall Parking Lot o 225 E. Main - Police Garage
