The City of Lathrop invites sealed informal bids for the construction of public improvements for Reconstruction of Curb Ramps, for the City of Lathrop, California. The intersection at McKee Boulevard and Crescent Moon Drive is a T-intersection controlled by all-way stops. Currently there are only crosswalks at the north and east legs. Located adjacent to Mossdale Elementary School's northeasterly campus, this intersection is heavily used by students. The proposed Project will reconstruct the southerly curb ramps and allow students to safely use the south crosswalk leg across McKee Boulevard. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work to be performed under this contract is generally described as: Removal and reconstruction of southwest and southeast curb ramps at the McKee Blvd and Crescent Moon Dr intersection Installation of a new crosswalk on the south leg of McKee Blvd and Crescent Moon Dr Removal and reconstruction of sidewalk and curb ramps at the entrance and exit of the semicircular Mossdale Elementary School driveway on Golden Spike Trail The value of this work is estimated at $40,000 and requires the following bonds at the indicated percentages of contract value: Bid (10%), Payment (100%), Performance (100%) and a Warranty Bond (10%) at the completion of the project, valid for one year. A valid California Contractor's license on Class (A) - General Engineering with emphasis on C-8 Concrete is required to bid on this project. The Contractor shall commence work under this Contract on or before ten working days after receiving written Notice to Proceed from the City and shall fully complete all work within 15 working days after the Notice to Proceed, subject to provisions contained in the Construction Documents relating to extension of time. The Contractor shall, at all times during the continuance of the Contract, prosecute the work with such force and equipment as are sufficient to complete it within the time specified. The Project is subject to further coordination with the Mossdale Elementary School for work during school session.
