Site work for an educational facility in Kissimmee, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.

THE INTENT of this bid is to establish the minimum requirements for the Parkway Middle School Basketball Court Replacement Project and to establish fixed price per the terms and quantities specified herein. Work for Parkway Middle School Basketball Court Replacement shall commence on or after receipt of Purchase Order (February) and shall be completed on or before May 10, 2024. All requested work shall be completed in accordance with all federal, state and local orders, and shall meet or exceed the standards of: National Federation of State High School Associations Court and Field Diagram Guide, Indianapolis, Indiana, Current Edition, American Sport Builder Association, and Osceola School District Design Guideline - DG 11 66 10; and will be inspected for compliance by the Project Manager or any other inspector designated by Osceola School District, FL. The Successful bidder must notify the Project Manager of an unforeseen condition which affect the work or operations, and which could not initially be evaluated; and shall not proceed without receipt of an additional Purchase Order if there is any cost related or a written authorization from the Project Manager if there is no additional cost involved. Successful bidder must at all times maintain appropriates licenses as required by the State of Florida and this bid. Any fines levied dues to inadequacies of failure to comply with any requirements shall be sole responsibility of the Successful bidder. Successful bidder will provide everything necessary for the proper execution and completion of the project for which it must possess financial stability for sufficient number of personnel, including supervisors, materials, transportation, and equipment to furnish all of the following: 1. Install approximately forty linear feet (40 LF) of temporary chain link fence to supplement the existing chain link fence to create a boundary for construction site. 2. Install approximately six hundred linear feet (600 LF) of orange snow fence around the perimeter of the construction site to form a double barrier. 3. Demolish one (1) existing palm tree. 4. Demolish eight (8) existing basketball goals including footings. 5. Demolish eight (8) other footings from volleyball net locations, etc. 6. Demolish existing concrete basketball court measuring 110` x 194` x 6". Field verify. 7. Excavate an estimate of 1.5" of dirt from the area where the new basketball court will be installed to allow room for new lime rock base and asphalt. Use dirt spoils to fill the proposed grassy area adjacent to the new court. 8. Construct new asphalt basketball court measuring 110` x 97` with 6" compacted lime rock base and top course Asphalt 1.5" of Type SP-9.5 (Virgin Mix Type S-3 or equal hot mix asphalt. Any asphaltic work shall be done in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) "Standards Specifications for Road and Bridge Constructions". 9. Courts shall have a textured coating of fibrated asphalt/acrylic emulsion manufactured with graded rubber particles, fine silica sand and fillers. Fortified with acrylic latex suitable for spray application. 10. Flood courts & patch any area holding water per American Sports Building Association (ASBA) & United States Tennis Association (USTA) guidelines; Sufficient drain off shall be considered to prevent water retention in the play courts. 11. Furnish & install four (4) new heavy-duty basketball goals with gooseneck poles, aluminum backboards, rims, nylon nets, and concrete footings. 12. Import an estimate of one hundred and sixty (160) cubic yards of clean fill and spread to raise the grade of the proposed grassy area up to the same elevation as the new basketball court. 13. Install approximately ten thousand, six hundred and seventy (10,670) square feet of Bahia sod at the proposed grassy area. Repair sod at all areas disturbed by our construction. 14. Apply two (2) coats of Acrylic Re-surfacer (Plexipave system or equivalent) over the entire surface of the new court, taking in consideration that the surface is clean and ready for this process and following all the recommendations from the Manufacturer. 15. Apply two (2) coats of Color Coating (Plexipave or equivalent) over the entire surface of the court. Inbounds Color: Australian Open True Blue. Outbounds Color: Dark Green; See Attachment "A" 16. Paint two (2) regulation basketball court markings with white textured line paint (Plexipave or equivalent). 17. Paint two (2) regulation volleyball court markings with yellow line paint (Plexipave or equivalent). 18. Paint four (4) pickle ball court separation lines with a different color (Plexipave or quivalent). 19. Supply four (4) portable outdoor pickleball nets, (Champion Portable Pickleball net system or equivalent) 20. Clean up and remove all debris caused by construction. Planned Award Date As an alternate option, the School District may be interested in having the removed concrete crushed and relocated to Poinciana High School, 2300 S. Poinciana Blvd., Kissimmee, FL 34758. Mark package(s) Bid #SDOC-24-B-078-GC Parkway Middle School Basketball Court Replacement Project and ensure that Bidders return address is listed on the outside of the package. Note: Please confirm that if a third-party carrier (Federal Express, Airborne, UPS, USPS, etc.) is used, that the third party is properly instructed to deliver the Bid Submittal only to the Purchasing Department, Building 2000 . To be considered, a Bid must be received and accepted in the Purchasing Department before the Bid closing date and time. If the project cost is $200,000 or more, a performance and payment bond shall be required. The awarded Bidder shall furnish within ten (10) days of notification of award a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contracted price, payable to the School Board, as security for the faithful performance of the Contract. The Performance Bond may be in the form of a bond, cashiers check or Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ILOC). The bond shall be issued by an agency authorized to do business in the State of Florida with a rating of A or higher, as listed in the A.M. Best & Company latest published rating. An attorney in fact who signs a Performance Bond must file with the bond a certified copy of his/her power of attorney to assign said bond. It is the Bidders responsibility to have the Performance & Payment Bond recorded with the Osceola County Clerk of Courts and a copy returned to the Purchasing Representative with a receipt showing the bond has been recorded. The awarded Bidder, upon failure or refusal to furnish within ten (10) days of notification the required Performance Bond, shall pay to the School Board, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, an amount in cash equal to the Bid Bond. After Board Approval, all communication must be directed to the School Board Representatives, John Viscomi, (407)908-9556, and James Hight, (689)226-1681. The School Board reserves the right to award the contract to the Bidder(s) that the School Board deems to offer the lowest responsive and responsible bid(s), as defined elsewhere in this solicitation. The School Board is therefore not bound to accept a bid on the basis of lowest price. In addition, the Director of Purchasing and Warehouse Services, as the School Boards representative, in his sole discretion reserves the right to cancel this Bid, to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities, or to re-advertise with either the identical or revised specifications, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the School Board to do so. The School Board also reserves the right to make multiple awards based on experience and qualifications or to award only a portion of the items and/or services specified, if it is deemed to be in the School Boards best interest.
