RFP - General Turf Mowing and Trimming Services Maintenance The City of Urbandale, Iowa, is seeking a three (3) year bid from qualified Contractors to provide general turf mowing and trimming services. The City has divided the mowing into three (3) mowing zones. This approach reduces the size of the mowing account into a more manageable territory/zone for the Contractor. Each zone consists of Grounds mowing (designated public parklands, designated public building grounds, and potential initial rough field mowing) and Roadside mowing (designated medians and roadside public rights-of-way, not rural ditches). A Contractor may bid on more than one (1) zone to mow; there is no preference for bidding on all three (3) zones; as the bid for each zone will be individually evaluated with preference given for the lowest qualified bid for each zone. Zones next to each other may have different prices per acre based on the Contractor's bid, and the number of acres mowed will also be different based on the mowing frequency estimated for each zone. School properties are not included in any of the zones.
