Description: This project is funded through the ARPA Funds received by the City of Tavares. The project is intended to improve the stormwater and safety along the Trail System at the Tavalee Bypass at Wooton Park Seaplane base area. This project includes a Trailways consisting of timber boardwalk sections, grade beams, concrete sidewalk, and gazebo as well as minor regrading of existing stormwater ponds to match their previously permitted contours. Bidders are required to submit proposals for the above on the Bid Forms provided. No proposals may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of thirty (30) days. A Performance and Payment Bond in a sum equal to 110% of the amount of the Contract awarded will be required at the time of execution of the construction contract. The City of Tavares reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to reject any or all bids with or without cause, and/or to accept the bid that in its best judgment will be for the best interest of the City. Proposal Guarantee: A certified or cashier's check on a national or state bank, or a bid bond executed by a surety acceptable to the Owner for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Tavares, shall accompany each proposal as guarantee that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, promptly enter into agreement to do the work and furnish the required Performance and Payment Bond.
