Site work for a mixed-use development in Deland, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Scope of Work Standard Gates shall be fabricated in three lengths: 14'6", 12'6", and 10'6". All gates shall be 5' tall. Gates shall be welded to a 6" ID Schedule 80, Alum. Pipe/post, with a white 6" aluminum sphere cap, fillet welded and sanded smooth, on 2" riser on top of gate post. Gate support bracket and border/frame shall be 2"ID. Gates shall be fully operational and allow to be opened freely in both directions. Aluminum Gate post shall be Schedule 80. All other aluminum round pipe materials shall be made of Sch. 40 aluminum. Gates shall be Powder coat painted. Paint to be PPG - PCTA59117 (RAL 5018 / Turquoise Blue) SUPER DURABLE, (or pre-approved equal) with a five (5) year guarantee. Must meet AAMA 2605, AAMA 2604, & AAMA 2603. Paint to be applied by PPG Certified Applicator. The center of each gate shall display a County of Volusia logo, constructed with a 5' W x 3' H x 3/16", oval cut laser/plasma cut aluminum plate, fillet welded at all contact points, with additional (8) 1/2 " plug welds, welded to the gate frame, with full color printed Volusia County logo on EG Reflective material, 3M680CR with 3M8518 Gloss UV overlaminate. Galvanized Gate Posts, to be Schedule 40 pipe to have 3/8" welded domed top cap, neoprene shim on top to allow for free movement of gate. Length of post to be (10' minimum) and determined by washout condition at individual ramp, determination as approved by Volusia County. Additional lengths may be required for certain locations to provide sufficient burial depth and maintain specified gate post height. Each gate shall feature two palm trees, umbrellas, or turtles - icons. These shall be 3/16" thick laser/plasma cut aluminum plate, centered, and mirrored on both sides of the logo. The requested icons shall be specified at the time of order. Note: prior to painting, the turtle icon to be CNC or laser engraved 1/16" deep to provide turtle detail embellishments. All gates and poles shall be installed in the ground and anchored with concrete. The contractor shall provide a five (5) year warranty on all parts. Any repairs shall be made by the contractor within 48 hours from request. Respondent shall submit a detailed representative shop drawing(s) with their bid response. Exhibit C is an artist rendering of the required standard gates. The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to solicit competitive sealed Bids to furnish Beach Gates and Beach Ramp Railings for the County of Volusia, Florida. The County is seeking a contractor to provide, install and maintain Beach Ramp Gates and Beach Ramp Railings. The County anticipates placing orders for several gates during the durations of the contract. This is in no way a guarantee of future work. Question Submission Deadline: January 10, 2024, 11:59pm Award Term The County is looking to promote partnership relationships within the policies and procedures of public procurement. Pursuant toward that end, the successful Contractor(s) shall be awarded an Agreement for an initial three (3) year term with the option for (2) subsequent one (1) year renewals. All renewals will be contingent upon mutual written agreement and, when applicable, approval of County Council.
