This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Great Neck, New York. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The purpose of the project is to provide on-call removal of spent carbon filter media from 20,000 or 40,000 lb GAC vessels, and replace with necessary quantities of carbon at various plant sites in the Manhasset-Lakeville Water District. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. Please note REV are the designated locations and means for distributing and obtaining all bid package information. All bidders are urged to register to ensure receipt of all necessary information, including bid addenda. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available Electronically. As a convenience to the Contractor, Digital Bidding Documents may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), paid by credit card. Each bid must be accompanied by either a certified check drawn on a solvent bank with an office in the State of New York, or a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid and payable to the MANHASSET-LAKEVILLE WATER DISTRICT. This amount shall be the measure of liquidated damage sustained by the WATER DISTRICT as a result of the failure, negligence or refusal of the Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded to execute and deliver the Contract Deposits for discs containing the plans and specifications in electronic format will be completely refunded to bidders and non-bidders who return the original disc in good condition within ten (10) days following the bid date. No deposit for discs will be refunded after ten (10) days following the bid date. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Bond, and a one (1) year Maintenance Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the total contract price as security for its faithful performance of this contract, for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection with this contract. Such bonds shall also cover any penalties, interest charges and assessments levied by any governmental unit for failure to comply with laws and/or regulations governing public work. The Maintenance Bond shall be an assurance that all work and materials provided under this contract shall be maintained for a period of one (1) year following final completion, and payment under the contract. The contractor shall be required to furnish all guarantees and warranties of manufacturers of products in connection with this contract, but no manufacturers limitation of time shall act to limit the responsibility of the contractor or its surety hereunder Plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use, and coordinate directly with REV for hard copies of addenda to be issued. There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Manhasset-Lakeville Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner.
