As of march 5, 2024 this project was awarded to RGC Inc. but the awarded amount is not available. This project will upgrade the serving lines which consist of new serving counters, pass-through warmers, painting, and modification to the flooring, lighting, ceilings, electrical power, and plumbing lines at each campus. At L.E.E. H.S., four serving lines will be upgraded and at Reagan H.S., six serving lines will be upgraded and the snack bar area will be converted to a new serving line, as represented in the Drawings and Specifications. The North East Independent School District ("NEISD" or "Owner") of Bexar County, Texas proposes to construct a Kitchen Serving Line Upgrades at L.E.E. H.S. and Reagan H.S. ("Project").NEISD is requesting competitive sealed proposals from respondents, pursuant to Texas Education Code Section 44.039, to construct the project under the Request for Proposal Competitive Sealed Method. Proposals are to be submitted in accordance with this Invitation and the accompanying Instruction to Offerors. All proposals shall be evaluated and the contract for the Project awarded in accordance with this Invitation and the Instructions to Offerors. The Project must be completed in accordance with the following schedule: following contract award by the Board of Trustees (on or about February 12, 2023) and issuance of the construction contract, the Contractor shall be given a Pre- Construction Notice to Proceed (on or about February 15, 2024). During Pre-Construction activities, the Contractor shall be responsible for development of: (1) a submittal log for the project, (2) the projects schedule of values, (3) the construction schedule, and (4) the projected cash flow draw-schedule. Following completion of the Pre-Construction Activities, the Contractor will be given a Construction Notice to Proceed (on or about February 15, 2024) which includes both site mobilization and the start of construction activities. The Contractor is required to develop and process all submittals to the Design Team to ensure a smooth construction schedule. The successful bidder must complete the project by August 5, 2024. The Estimated Project Design and Construction Budget is based on the Plans/Specifications as included in this document set. L.E.E. Each Proposal must be accompanied by Proposal security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Proposal, pledging that the successful Respondent will, within twenty (20) calendar days after the successful Respondent is notified of the acceptance of its Proposal, enter into a written Contract with the Owner on the terms stated in the Proposal Documents, as evidenced by the unconditional execution and delivery of such Contract, along with Payment and Performance Bonds, evidence of Insurance, and other Contract submittals as required by the Proposal Documents. Should the successful Respondent fail or refuse to enter into such Contract or furnish such Bonds or evidence of Insurance within the time frame stated above, such Proposal security shall be forfeited to the Owner as damages, not as a penalty. Such Proposal security shall be in the form of a certified check payable to the order of the Owner, or a bond in favor of the Owner. The bond shall be on AIA Document A310-2010 and shall be issued by an "A Rated" corporate surety, duly authorized and admitted to do business in the State of Texas and licensed by the State of Texas to issue surety bonds. The Owner shall have the right to retain the security of all Respondents to whom an award is being considered until either (i) the Contract has been unconditionally executed and delivered by the parties and any required payment and performance bonds, evidence of insurance, and other Contract submittals have been furnished, or (ii) all Proposals have been rejected by the Owner without the acceptance of any Proposal.
