Removal and replacement of a failed CMP that services Last Chance Ditch crossing under Lakeside Drive per the Improvement Plans. The failed pipe is located roughly 200' south of Evans Creek Drive, located in Washoe County, Nevada. Replacement work includes installation of two 36" reinforced concrete pipes, construction of double barrel headwalls with trash rack, installation of barrier rail, guard rail, and traffic safety impact cushions. Additional work includes clearing and grubbing, grading, placement of riprap, and asphalt paving. Contractor to provide construction surveying and traffic control throughout the duration of the project. Miscellaneous work includes replacing traffic control signs, removal and replacement of an irrigation service line, and hydroseeding. Clarification is given in the "Bid Clarification" and accompanying exhibits. Provide traffic control. Lakeside Drive will be allowed to be closed for the duration of the project. Contractor to maintain an active detour for the duration of the project with at least three (3) electronic messaging boards regarding the closure, b. Clear and grub site as shown on the Improvement Plans to facilitate the removal of the existing culvert pipe and to allow for the installation of the proposed improvements. Vegetation that has been cleared shall be hauled offsite and disposed of at the Contractor's discretion, c. Protect existing manholes and utilities in-place, d. Dewater irrigation ditch during storm events as needed (contingent item), e. Remove and dispose of existing composite surface per plan, f. Remove and salvage the existing guardrail per plan to Washoe County Roads, g. Remove and dispose of existing failed 60" x 40" CMP culvert, h. Remove and dispose of existing 6" irrigation pipe and splash pad, i. Construct two (2) double barrel headwalls with splashpads per plan, j. Furnish and install two new 36" RCP's per plan, k. Furnish, place, and compact structural backfill for trench section per plan, l. Furnish and install new 6" irrigation pipe and splash pad per plan, m.
