The Dormitory Authority, State of New York (DASNY) is soliciting the services of a general contractor for a single prime construction contract for projects located at the State University of New York at Albany Uptown Campus. The scope of services will include but not be limited to, abatement of asbestos and hazardous materials, and finishes replacement work in the 100,000 sf Livingston Tower residence hall located on Colonial Quad. The work area includes the Basement through floor 24 including but not limited to suite rooms, RD/RA apartments, offices, and common areas including stairwells. The project also includes the removal of non- asbestos containing materials. Finishes work includes priming and painting of walls and ceilings, installation of new flooring, cove base, stair treads, the removal/ installation and testing of fire alarm devices, access card readers, replacing light fixtures in kind, replacement of doors and hardware, and installation of furnishings including but not limited to suite room shelving, closet rods and curtains, window shades, common area whiteboards, informational boards, and building entry walk off mats. The project schedule will be phased over two or three consecutive summers. The first summer completes all work in the upper half floors excluding stairwells, the second summer would complete the building lower half floors excluding stairwell work and the third summer would complete all stairwell work. The estimated construction value of this project is approximately $4.1 Million - $4.9 Million. This ad is for expressions of interest only. Bidders for the construction of this project will be selected only after the review and evaluation of the qualification packages received in response to this notice. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. In accordance with State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k, this solicitation includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between Dormitory Authority personnel and an Offerer during the procurement process.
