Hydraulic Elevator Replacement for Garage B at Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) Question Deadline 02/08/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Questions concerning this RFP should be directed, via email, to procurement@pvdairport.com SCOPE 1. Must be authorized to do business in the State of RI and provide verification in the form of a State of RI business license. 2. Must be primarily engaged in the business of commercial or industrial elevator, escalator, or moving walkway maintenance services for at least five (5) years. 3. Must replace two (2) 1986 Payne controllers with original hydraulic motors with like or similar parts with the exception of the pistons. 4. Elevator replacements must meet current industry standards and all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. 5. All work must be performed in accordance with OSHA workplace safety requirements, local, State, and Federal regulations. 6. The specifications are written in the singular with the understanding identical work, materials and equipment shall be provided for the two (2) elevators, unless otherwise specified. 7. The contract specifications include all engineering, material, labor, testing, and inspections needed to achieve work specified. 8. The firm shall obtain all building permits or clearance for work requiring such, prior to the start of work, if required. 9. The firm shall, at any time upon written request during the term of this agreement, render a report of inspections, repairs or replacements made by the firm. 10. The firm shall prepare, and issue all required forms and/or reports relative to governmental examinations, tests and inspections. 11. This agreement is all inclusive for parts and labor with regards to the following: a. Installation, inspection and testing b. Emergency call-service applicable to all warranties 12. Normal work hours shall be between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday, unless otherwise agreed upon by RIAC. 13. Legible and detailed documentation on all billable work performed shall be received within seven (7) calendar days after work is performed. Invoicing shall be sent to, Rhode Island Airport Corporation ATTN: Accounts Payable, 2000 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886, and shall include the following: a. Date of Service b. Time in time out c. Specific area and equipment being replaced (location of equipment, serial number, make and model) d. Number of service hours e. Hourly rate per pricing form f. Cost of materials and equipment used (itemized list) g. Name of technician h. Signature of RIAC representative i. Warranty of the new material / equipment installed j. Total labor cost and material charges shall be applied to total service price 14. All technicians for the Firm shall wear identification in the form or a name tag and clothing with the company name patch. 15. All areas of work shall be left in a clean condition and all debris shall be removed daily and upon completion of service. 16. Firm vehicles shall be clearly marked with Firms name. 17. Salvage equipment, if requested, shall be returned to RIAC. 18. Respondent will be held accountable for airport property committed to its care and may be required to replace any such property that may be damaged, destroyed, lost or stolen due to negligence. 19. The Firm shall not subcontract any part of the agreement with another Contractor, unless approved in writing by RIAC. 20. RIAC reserves the right to hire additional contractors as needed to perform elevator, escalator, or moving walkway services. 21. Any and all repairs that involve or have the potential to disturb asbestos containing material shall be reported to RIAC immediately in writing. The abatement of asbestos is solely the responsibility of the RIAC. 22. Firm agrees to be responsible for proper disposing of all refuse, including but not limited to, lubricating and drive fluids. In connection with the performance of this AGREEMENT, CONSULTANT shall cooperate with RIAC in meeting its commitments and goals with respect to the maximum utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). CONSULTANT shall use reasonable efforts to ensure that DBEs shall have the maximum opportunity to compete for subconsultant and subcontractor work under this AGREEMENT in accordance with RIAC's requirements relating to disadvantaged businesses. The stated goal for DBE participation under this AGREEMENT will be determined on a task order basis.
