A bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of the bid is required. Certified checks should be made payable to City Treasurer, City of Kingsport. The successful bidder will be required to execute acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. The City by its governing regulations reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids received, to waive any informalities in bidding and to re-advertise. The general project area for this work is in the Upper Sevier Terrace area of Kingsport. A map of the area is provided to assist in reviewing bid for roadways that shall have the maltene based asphalt rejuvenating agent applied. Specifications for the product and work are provided and shall be adhered to by contractor. There is a City school located at 1051 Lake Street. Work will need to be scheduled to minimize impacts to their student drop off and pickup. Spring Break is March 25-29 and Summer Break begins May 23rd. School resumes August 5 th and Fall Break is the week of October 7-11. There will not be a Prebid Conference for this project. Last day for questions is Friday, December 29th at 4:00 pm.
