This Request for Quotations ("the RFQ") issued by the City of Lethbridge (the "City") is an invitation to submit non-binding offers for the provision of Asphalt Pathway Replacements as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the "Deliverables"), for the Rates established in the pricing Schedule(s). The respondent selected pursuant to this RFQ process will be informed through electronic communication. Respondents not selected will also be informed through electronic communication. The objective of this project is to procure experienced construction services to remove and replace existing pathways in 3 Lethbridge parks in need of lifecycle replacement. This project will improve accessibility and experience for park users. The eastern portion of Fairmont Lake Park is home to approximately 1545 m of asphalt pathways which connect to the Fairmont neighbourhood. Fairmont Garden Park contains 130 m of asphalt pathway as well as a playground approach and sitting area. Elma Groves requires replacement of 140 m of limestone trail with asphalt pathway. The scope of work to be completed under this Contract consists of supplying all materials, equipment, products, labour and transportation for construction of the 2023 Asphalt Pathway Repairs Project including, but not limited to: "Prime Contractor" responsibilities Project management and coordination Mobilization and demobilization Attendance and participation in construction and safety meetings Schedule management and delay mitigation Quality control Safeguarding of work areas Traffic, pedestrian and park user accommodation Survey requirements Environmental requirements Tree Protection Fencing Hydrovac utilities Turf stripping and disposal offsite Topsoil stripping and stockpiling on site Common excavation and earthworks Asphalt and aggregate pathway removal Limestone trail removal and salvage Subgrade preparation Asphalt pathway construction Root barrier installation Irrigation adjustments Topsoil placement and finish grading Sod placement Hydromulching and seeding Landscape Rehabilitation Warranty work completed as part of this contract (2-year) Fairmont Lake and Fairmont Garden Parks Remove and dispose of all existing asphalt pathway and subgrade materials including asphalt playground approaches and sitting areas. Widen narrowed areas of existing pathway alignment to 2.0 m width. Maintain width of identified maintenance access routes (3.0 m) Protect existing infrastructure - playground curbs and surfacing, bridges, lights, sidewalks, trees, irrigation, signage, etc. Supply and install tree root barrier as specified. Supply and install new granular sub-base and asphalt pathways as designed, to transportation standards. Elma Groves Park Remove and salvage limestone pathway connection. Deliver salvaged limestone material to City of Lethbridge Parks material stockpile (West Lethbridge).
