Renovation of a power facility in Poulsbo, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
As of February 2, 2024 this project was awarded to Legacy Communications with the awarded amount of $593,173.67. Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment and materials required for the installation of DC power plants including battery strings, rectifiers, equipment racks, and associated equipment at 7 locations within Kitsap County. Work includes electrical and HVAC work including installation of sub panels, transfer switches, lighting, receptacles, and ductless mini-split HVAC heating and cooling systems all as indicated in the plans and specifications . All work performed on this project is subject to state prevailing wage rates. Non-mandatory site meetings will be held; note Introduction to Bidders. The Kitsap PUD is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. This project is partially funded through Kitsap County with federal funds from the U.S. Treasury ARPA Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund. Contractor must be licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington State. Contractors are encouraged to commit to local hires for this project. Small, Minority- and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. A 5% bid guarantee is required in the form of certified or cashier's check, or surety bond. The Contract will be awarded to the qualified bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid. Kitsap PUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding in accordance with the specifications. Each Bid Proposal shall conform to the requirements of Section 1-02.9 of the Contract Special Provisions. Bids shall be made out on the bid form furnished with the specifications. The 100-amp service panel shall be Eaton CH breaker panel or equivalent. o Install manual transfer switch with 4 pole circuit breaking mating connector. o Install six (6) 4000 lumen LED ceiling light fixtures evenly spaced in the building with an appropriate light switch at the doorway. o No receptacles are needed at this site. o Install HVAC mini-split ductless system with heating and cooling capabilities; unit will be a 3-ton 36k btu heat pump mini split system with energy star certification.
