The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, trucking, superintendent and/or services required completing the work in accordance with these specifications and the attached Drawings and Plans. Please refrain from submitting any questions after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2024 to allow sufficient time for a reply to each Bidders questions before the submission of the bid proposals Work generally include concrete paving, concrete curb, asphalt paving, roofing, pavilion interior renovation, poured-in-place surfacing, engineered wood fiber surfacing, playground, fencing, drainage, landscaping, and restoration. The Urbana Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive technicalities and irregularities. Bids will be accepted in strict accordance with instructions to bidders in the Specifications. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, "Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development" (OSLAD) grant program. The Urbana Park District encourages 1) "minority" business firms to submit bids on the project and 2) successful contract bidders to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, services, and construction.
