The Project is generally described as follows: Furnish and install a complete Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement System (ERCES) including, but not limited to, pre-design signal surveys, electronic equipment, antennas, cabling, post-installation signal surveys and commisioning, final reports. Notice to Proceed February 14, 2024 This Project shall include a liquidated damages provision providing for liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the Work is substantially complete. The provisions will be set forth in the form of document provided at Attachment D. For this Project, the liquidated damages shall be stipulated as $250.00 per day. Failure to provide the subcontractors list may be deemed as non-responsive, resulting in rejection of the proposal. The substantial completion date for all work is May 31, 2024. Furthermore, Contractor has 14 calendar days from the established Substantial Completion Date to complete all punch-out items and 28 calendar days from the established Substantial Completion Date to submit all required closeout documents. Failure to complete the punch out work and submit all closeout documents as set forth in the time frame described will result in the assessment by the Owner of liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day that is required by the Contractor to close out the project after the allotted time. Time is of the essence. All proposals must be based upon an assumption of Substantial/Final Completion by this date. The Notice to Proceed may be issued as late as forty five (45) consecutive calendar days following the Notice of Award. The Contractor shall take this period into account in the preparation of its Proposal. A Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check payable to the Killeen ISD, for no less than 5% of the largest possible total (include the cost of alternates listed) for the proposal listed. Performance and Payment Bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the construction cost will be required prior to beginning the work.
