Renovation of a fire / police facility in Memphis, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The City of Memphis encourages the participation of Small and Minority Businesses in the Purchasing process. Minority/Small Business Participation Goal: MBE: 7% & WBE: 1% All bidders must be licensed contractors, and all bid envelopes/submittals must include information, as required by Title 62, Chapter 6, of the Tennessee Code Annotated. CLASSIFICATION FOR THIS PROJECT SHALL BE:BC, BC-B, BC-b Award of contracts will be made on the basis of the lowest and best bids as determined by the City of Memphis. A BID BOND IS REQUIRED IF BID AMOUNT IS $100,000 OR MORE. This Project is Exempt From the Mandatory Aforesaid Contractors Licensing Requirements if the Bid Amount is Under $25,000, but the Phrase Exempt From Licensing Requirement Must Appear on the Bid Envelope in Order for the City to Consider the Bid as Being Exempt From This Requirement. Certification by each bidder must be made with respect to nondiscrimination in employment No objections with regard to the application, meaning, or interpretation of the specifications will be considered after the opening of the subject bids. Unsigned bids will be considered nonconforming. Bids containing terms and conditions other than those contained herein, may be considered nonconforming. This procurement may be subject to the requirements of ordinance NO. 5114 which establishes a local preference for local businesses located within the City of Memphis. A copy of your Memphis and Shelby County Tennessee business tax receipt must accompany your bid for consideration of this ordinance. Any protest of award must be filed in writing with the Purchasing Agent within TEN (10) days of the award announcement. Only bids submitted on the supplied form(s) with no changes, additions, or deletions to the terms and conditions will be considered.
