This report presents the results of the geotechnical investigation conducted for the proposed new pavilion located south of the City of Greenville Animal Control building addressed at 5800 Joe Ramsey Boulevard North in Greenville, Texas. We understand that the project consists of the design and construction of an approximate 50' by 100' pavilion. At the time of the field investigation, the project site was covered with short grass and mature trees. Based upon visual site observation and available topographic maps from NCTCOG (dfwmaps.com), the site slope downwards from the west side of the property with an overall topographic relief of about 2 feet. Final grading plans were not available during the time of this report preparation. Recommended design parameters provided herein should be expected to change should there be significant quantities of cut or fill; therefore, we recommend that this office be permitted to review final grading and design plans prior to construction to confirm and/or revise the conclusions and recommendations provided herein. The purpose of this investigation was to: Identify the subsurface stratigraphy and groundwater conditions present at the site. Evaluate the physical and engineering properties of the subsurface soil and bedrock strata for use in geotechnical analyses. Provide geotechnical recommendations for use in the design and construction of the proposed structure and related site work. The scope of this investigation consisted of: Drilling and sampling of a two (2) borings were drilled within the footprint of the pavilion to depths of about 20 feet below existing grades. Laboratory testing of selected soil and bedrock samples obtained during field investigation. Preparation of a Geotechnical Report that includes: Evaluation of potential soil heave through Potential Vertical Movement (PVM) estimates. Recommendations for the design and construction of the foundations. Recommendations for earthwork. The undersigned Bidder proposes and agrees, if this Bid is accepted, to enter into an Agreement with Owner in the form included in the Bidding Documents to perform all Work as specified or indicated in the Bidding Documents for the prices and within the times indicated in this Bid and in accordance with the other terms and conditions of the Bidding Documents. Lump Sum Price (Single Lump Sum) This Bid will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the Bid opening, or for such longer period of time that Bidder may agree to in writing upon request of Owner
