A variety of products but not limited to locks, mops, brooms, garbage cans, masking tape, work gloves, batteries, sandpaper, tilt trucks, ladders, hammers, rakes, wrenches, pliers, bits, locksmith parts, lever cylinders, locksets, painting supplies, paint, nails, ceiling accessories, roofing supplies, adhesives, doors, and lumber supplies. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not to exceed $20,000, payable unconditionally to the County of Passaic. Once the bid is awarded, the successful bidder shall provide the required bonds prior to execution of the contract in the amount of one hundred (100%) of the acceptable bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract. However, notwithstanding the above, the successful bidder awarded a contract for this bid shall not be required to submit a bond in an amount greater than $250,000.00, for the term of the contract, if the bidder's total contract award exceeds this figure on multi-year contracts, the term of the contract shall constitute the entire term. In accordance with N.J.S.A 40A:11-19, liquidated damages are hereby made a part of every contract entered into by the County of Passaic and the winning bidder. If the winning bidder fails to deliver any of the services as outlined herein, the County is entitled to one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per day as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty. The Board further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 and to waive minor informalities when authorized to do so under the law.
