The City of Oroville Housing Development Department is seeking a qualified contractor to participate in the renovation and remodel a portion of a housing rehabilitation project for a residential home located at 3322 Ashley Ave in Oroville CA. NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN City of Oroville Housing Development Department is soliciting a Formal Bid Write-Up for General Contractor for a Best Value, Fixed Price. This write-up is part of a single-phase competitive process for the selection to complete construction of the Project. All work associated with the removal and replacement of bathroom shower stall. All work associated with rough-in plumbing and finish plumbing needed to complete the bathroom shower stall walk-in including glass shower doors. All work associated with replacement of one bathroom floor register for directional or shielded floor register. All work associated with the repair of large ceiling crack in main living space. All work associated with the installation of an exterior grab bar, railing or equivalent at exterior location (refer to attached report). All work associated with replacement of flashing and or roofing system replacement over exterior dwelling space. All work associated with assessment of HVAC system in main living room space. All work associated with replacement of gutter system of exterior dwelling space (safety concerns and concerns of water intrusion). All work associated with the painting of exterior surface as determined in Mandatory Job Walk. Assessment of existing electrical system and addressing update of outlet systems as determined in Mandatory Job Walk. Address any repairs as noted in the Termite Inspection Report (refer to attached report). The project under this Formal Bid-Write-Up is the renovation on an existing single-story home. All work associated with the removal and replacement of bathroom shower/tub stall. All other work as requested in the project description in the Bid-Write Up documents. Do not contact home owner prior to submitting the formal Bid Write-Up to the Housing Development team. Contractor requirements: Current and active CA Contractors license in good standing and $1,000,000 general liability insurance naming the City of Oroville as additionally insured. The City of Oroville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any non-material defects in any submitted bids. Qualifying contractors must attend mandatory job walk to submit a bid for the job. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and accept or reject any line item of any bid unless such bid is qualified by a specific limitation. The contractor hereby proposes to furnish material and perform all construction in a workmanlike manner for all work stated above. The contractor agrees to honor this bid for ninety (90) days after the bid opening and execute a construction contract within fifteen (15) days after the owner(s) accept the bid. The contractor further agrees to commence work within 10 (ten) calendar days after the signing of the contract and complete the work within specified time frame listed on the Construction Contract. The contractor further agrees to pay the sum of $100.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter the completion date unless the contract is extended by a mutuality signed change order.
