Site work for a water / sewer project in Arlington, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Work to Include: The furnishing, testing and start-up of a constant pressure potable water booster system equipment package that conforms with the project specifications contained in this Request for Proposal and shall include all hardware, integral piping and valves, controls, and appurtenances necessary for a complete system. Additional Requirements: 1. Prepare and submit mechanical engineering plans for City of Arlington approval. 2. Prepare and submit Operating & Maintenance documents at project end. All bidding and construction are to be performed in compliance with the Contract Documents for this project and any Addenda issued thereto, which are on file with the City of Arlington Public Works Department. Proposals received after the date and time stated above will not be considered. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided with the contract documents. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond, for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, including additives and alternates, if any. Refer to Instructions to Bidders for more information. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Arlington. The City of Arlington expressly reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive minor irregularities or informalities, and to further make award of the project to the lowest responsible Bidder as it best serves the interest of the City of Arlington. No proposal may be withdrawn after the time stated above, or before Award of Contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) calendar days after opening of the proposals, or Bidder withdraws proposal due to error in accordance with Section 1-03.1 of the WSDOT Standard Specifications. The City of Arlington in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. The City encourages the participation of MWDBE firms. The bidder shall submit a voluntary DBE Participation Plan prior to commencing work on the project. The City of Arlington in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), commits to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability, in all of its programs and activities.
