Construction of a new retaining wall and curb system in accordance with the MX DRM along the south perimeter of the Streetsville Bus Garage Facility as well as the introduction of a new oil grit separator in the existing storm sewer system to treat surface runoffs. The existing south retaining wall and the stormwater quality treatment system at the Streetsville Bus Garage requires rehabilitation and upgrading, respectively. The existing retaining wall is continuing to move at a very gradual rate under loading from adjacent bus movements. Further geotechnical analysis identified a 1.0m thick organic layer below the foundation of the wall and actual surcharge from buses far exceed the surcharge load the wall can resist. TIMELINE: As of February 2024 the Request to Qualify and Quote has been awarded by the Owner. The consultant will provide Engineering Services for the development of retaining wall rehabilitation and oil grit separator stormwater quality treatment design documents over a 5-month period. Further tender and construction timing is undetermined.
