As of February 8. 2024, the poject has not been awarded yet. The project is expected to be awarded within the next two weeks. The City of College Park is requesting proposals for the construction of a community center to be located at 3545 Marlbrough Way, College Park, Maryland 20740. This was previously the location of the College Park Woods Swimming Club pool and clubhouse. The intended use for the new structure is a community meeting space. A larger pool and a toddler pool were filled in and abandoned and the clubhouse was raised. The second phase of the project is to construct a new community meeting structure that is consistent with the Construction Documents and County building permit and approved plans. Question Deadline 01/05/2024 All questions about the meanings or intent, discrepancies or omissions of the RFP shall be submitted in writing to Project Manager Robert Marsili, rmarsili@collegeparkmd.gov The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, temporary perimeter fencing, soil and erosion controls, lifts, scaffold, transportation, and supervision to complete the construction of a new community meeting building-Club House. Construction Plans and Drawings will be provided by the owner and/or owner representative. A Construction Permit will be provided to the contractor by the property owner. Any additional permits such as utility permits or additional Prince Georges County and City of College Park Permits or requirements needed to construct the building shall be acquired and paid for by the awarded construction contractor. Any utility permits that have not already been obtained by the owner or its consultants in order to construct the building and connect all applicable utilities including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, water, sanitary sewer, natural gas (if applicable), telephone and communication cable and its infrastructure shall be obtained and paid for by the awarded contractor. The contractor shall follow Building Codes noted on construction plans and drawings. The contractor shall adhere to Prince Georges County and City of College Park, permit conditions, rules, regulations and guidelines for safe mobilization and building construction. All building construction shall be in accordance with state, county and local city regulations and building codes. The contractor shall construct the new building utilizing existing design plans, specifications and drawings provided by the owner (City) or its architect representative in a complete and workmanlike manner and to the satisfaction of the Owner and/or the Owner Representative. Work shall commence in accordance with all applicable Building Codes and contract documents specified in this (RFP)- Request for Proposal. All building materials and supplies shall be constructed and installed according to the design plans, drawings and material manufacturers written instructions and to construction industry standards. 1. Construction shall include ground preparation, grading, construction of the building foundation, construction of all infrastructure to provide utilities and connections to the new building including electric, gas, water, sanitary sewer, storm water drainage and all construction required to complete the new building in compliance with construction plans and documents.
