Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Wingham, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 18,543-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The County of Huron is seeking to engage the services of a qualified contractor for the development of a new operations centre building at the Wingham Patrol Yard. The project consists of the demolition of the existing operations building on site and the construction of a new operations centre and associated site works for the County of Huron. The new facility includes a 6-bay vehicle garage, bridge shop, sign shop and an expanded office space complete with offices, lunch room, locker room and associated service spaces. The site work builds on the work completed through Phase 1 of the development and includes the remainder of the site redevelopment activities. A new, storm sewer network collects stormwater from the site and directs it to the stormwater management pond constructed in phase 1. Upgrades to site services include a new domestic well, upgrades to the hydro service and gas services to the site, and the design and construction of a new on-site wastewater treatment system. A new natural gas, back-up power generator is specified to power the site and a new underground cistern to store water for firefighting is required. A new fueling station will include storage and dispensing for regular unleaded fuel, dyed diesel and clear diesel for County staff. The yard will be graded as per the drawings with new asphalt surfaces placed around the building tying into the existing grades and asphalt on site. The top coat asphalt for the Phase 1 asphalt works is also included in the Phase 2 scope of work so as to provide a consistent finished surface following completion of the work.
