Proposers should submit any such written inquiries or objections no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 18, 2023 The City of San Ramon ("City") hereby invites qualified contractors ("Proposers") to submit qualifications and proposals (collectively, "Proposals") in response to this Request for Qualifications and Proposals ("RFQP") for As-Needed Earthwork, Maintenance, General Contracting, and Emergency Response Services. The City of San Ramon was incorporated in 1983 as a charter city and located in the San Ramon Valley of Contra Costa County, approximately 35 miles east of the City of San Francisco in the San Francisco Bay Area. The San Ramon Valley has long been considered one of the most desirable living areas in the Bay Area because of its scenic beauty, suburban charms, excellent school systems, and proximity to major employment centers. The City occupies a land area of 18.56 square miles and is surrounded by the communities of Danville and Dublin, as well as the unincorporated lands in both the Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. The Project involves maintenance, repair, and upgrades to public infrastructure, which may be located at various streets, trails, parks, and other facilities located throughout the City. The Work is to be performed on an on-call and as-needed basis, based on Work Orders issued by the City, as further specified in the Contract Documents (attached hereto and incorporated herein). There is no guarantee as to the quantity of Work or number of Work Orders to be issued for the Project. The City reserves the right to award the contract to more than one Proposer. Representative Project scope includes, but is not limited to, any or all of the items listed below. Contractors need not be experienced or able to provide all services; contracts will be awarded based on the City's anticipated needs and the relative skills and experience of contractors in the various identified areas of need. o Creek bank stabilization and erosion control and repair; o Temporary winterization of landslides; o Landslide stabilization and repair; o Sediment removal from flood control channels; o V-ditch cleaning, repair, and replacement o Localized storm drain cleaning, repair and replacement and other storm drain work; o Trash capture device installation; o Minor retaining wall construction and repair; o Sound wall repair; o Foundation construction for signs, monuments, and art work; o Minor concrete flatwork; o Installation of emergency flood control measures; o Debris removal; o Minor structural repairs or improvementssuch as repair to foundations, repair to damage from floods or fire, minor upgrades or maintenance to Community Centers or other City Buildings or structures in parks; o Construction of restrooms or shade structures; o Demolition of structures; and o Emergency response for the above listed items. Any Contract awarded under this RFQP will be structured for a three (3) year term, which may be renewed by the City for up to two (2) additional one (1) year terms, subject to the limitations on the maximum Contract Price This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class A Questions, requests for clarifications, or objections regarding the RFQP, the Project, or the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing to Shane Hsieh, Senior Civil Engineer, at chsieh@sanramon.ca.gov. The selected Proposer will be required to provide the proof of ability to obtain performance and payment bonds for each Work Order and/or up to 100% of the maximum Contract Price of $499,999, as further specified in the Contract Documents. The insurance requirements are specified in Article 4 of the General Conditions, and the selected Proposer must provide the proof of the ability to obtain the required bonds and proof of the required insurance coverage as a condition to award the Contract, within ten (10) calendar days following notification of intent to recommend award of the Contract
