Contact initiated by a bidder concerning this solicitation with any other County representative, not expressly authorized elsewhere in this document, is prohibited. Any such unauthorized contact may result in disqualification of the bidder from this transaction. As indicated in the Drawings, the project will renovate the existing LaPrade Library building and its associated site. The existing building is a steel frame structure with metal stud walls and exterior brick veneer and vinyl siding. Demolition includes portions of the existing building and site as indicated in the Drawings, including: selective steel structure demolition; selective demolition of exterior walls, interior partitions, ceilings, finishes, and window elements; selective demolition of the standing seam metal roof, selective demolition of site elements including curbs, paving, and landscaping; selective demolition of the concrete floor slab to facilitate the installation of new electrical floor boxes; and selective demolition of plumbing, sprinkler, mechanical, and electrical elements. New work includes building and site elements as indicated in the Drawings, including: new paving, curbs, hardscaping, outdoor furniture, landscaping, and light fixtures; new canopies (incorporating both steel and glulam wood framing, phenolic panel cladding, composite metal panel cladding, and TPO roofing) and glazing at the north and south building elevations; new interior partitions, doors, glazing elements, and casework; both new and modified structural framing elements; new exterior metal stud and brick veneer walls; and new rooftop curb-mounted tubular skylights and associated new portions of standing seam metal roof and roof insulation. 2. New interior finishes in the building will include carpet tile, luxury vinyl tile, porcelain floor and wall tile, vinyl base, latex paint, and wall-mounted acoustical felt panels. Ceilings will include acoustical panels, painted gypsum board, and ceiling clouds. Signage as indicated in the Drawings will also be included. 3. New plumbing elements for the building will include sinks, water closets, roof drains, and downspouts as indicated in the Drawings. 4. New mechanical work for the building will include modifications to the existing mechanical system and new ductwork, diffusers, registers, and associated switches and thermostats. 5. New electrical work for the building will include modifications to the existing electrical system and new light fixtures, power outlets, and data receptacles. New electrical work for the site will include new light fixtures and modifications to the existing site lighting, as well as conduits as indicated in the Drawings for future electric vehicle charging stations. 6. Security work will include new electronic access control systems as indicated in the drawings and specifications, both new and re-used existing security cameras, and associated low-voltage wiring. 7. Audiovisual work will include new display monitors, audio equipment, projectors and associated screens, other audiovisual technology elements as indicated in the drawings and specifications, and associated cabling and wiring.
