The purpose of the proposal project is to demolish an existing below grade fuel storage tank, replace it with a new above ground fuel storage tank, and construct FOG Receiving Improvements. The project duration is 540 days from the notice to proceed date. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10 %) of the total bid amount must accompany the bid. Said checks or bid bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders upon Award of the Contract to the selected firm and execution of the Agreement. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond in the form as attached to the Bid Documents for the amount of the total bid. A certified check cannot be substituted for either bond. The Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority reserves the right to alter quantities and to accept or reject any or all bids or any portion of any bids, for any or no reason, including unavailability of appropriated funds as it may deem to be in its best interests.
