DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The project includes providing all construction supervision, labor, materials, tools, test equipment necessary for the East Frankfort Interceptor Phase III project which includes the installation of approximately 5,000 LF of 42-inch gravity sewers, 985 LF of 66-inch tunnel with 1,026 LF of 48-inch sewer 259 LF of 60-inch sewer, 100 LF of 8-inch sewer, drop shaft structure, and 300 LF of 10-ft hand tunnel, two sets of siphons, three pipes each (one siphon set including 12-inch, 20-inch, and 24-inch pipes approximately 2,700 LF horizontal directional drilled (HDD) under Wilkinson Blvd. and Cove Spring Park and an additional 135 LF of open cut installation, and a second siphon set including 16-inch, 30-inch, and 30-inch pipes approximately 1,500 LF HDD under the Kentucky River and an additional 1,072 LF of open cut installation, precast manholes, a 3 MG prestressed concrete wet weather storage tank, a screening structure, a vortex drop structure, multiple structures with gates and valves, and connection into the E.C. McManis WWTP. All work shown within these Construction Documents is included in this bid and project.
