Reference Number NB-BCS2023-01 In 2014, it was identified that additional recreation, culture, and library facilities were needed to support the Town of Oromocto. A49 was engaged to complete user group engagement and seek feedback from the community. Subsequently, a feasibility study was completed in 2020 by Dillon Consulting. This report has been used to define the facility space, outline a preliminary budget, and define the necessary steps to effectively initiate the project. In 2023 the Town developed a business case for converting the former Hubbard School into a community Recreation and Culture Centre. An engineering assessment and feasibility study on the site and ultimately the decision was made to pursue the demolishing of the Hubbard School and to construct the new Recreation Centre on the site.
