Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Elk Grove, California. Working plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Construction has not started. We are currently waiting upon comments from DSA so the design is not finalized. Core Construction is the Lease Leaseback partner, but they have not bid the project out awaiting DSA Approval. Construction start is still TBD **As of February 16, 2024. Project is cancelled. No definite date for the rebid.** The Elk Grove Unified School District ("District") is requesting a Statement of Qualifications/Proposal (SOQ/P) from Contractors holding a Class B license, to perform Lease-Leaseback construction services for the Robert L. Trigg Education Center Expansion project. The District will not review submittals received after the time and date above. Facsimile (FAX) copies of the SOQ/P will not be accepted. The Administration reserves the right to accept or reject any and all SOQ/P, to negotiate with any and all-responsible firms, and to waive any informality in the process. The District is not responsible for any expenses related to the preparation or presentation of the SOQ/P, including travel costs. The SOQ/P may be withdrawn at any time prior to the closing date and time for receipt of SOQ/P. In order to control information disseminated regarding this SOQ/P, firms interested in submitting SOQ/P are directed not to make personal contact with members of the Governing Board or District Administration with the exception of the individual, or department staff listed on the SOQ/P packet. This includes unauthorized visits to District-educating facilities. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. payment of the appropriate general prevailing rate of wages for all crafts employed on the public works site is required of the Contractor and all subcontractors. This project has a goal of 3% Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (DVBE) participation per the State Allocation Board requirements. Compliance with California Education Code Section 45125.1 mandating fingerprinting requirements applies to this project. The RFQ/P respondent is encouraged to demonstrate within Tab D of their SOQ/P of the Firm's understanding and ability to perform the work. The estimated total construction cost/budget for the Project is $24,000,000. Last questions due in regard to RFQ/P Jan. 11, 2024 Responding Contractors must be prequalified by the District Jan. 12, 2024 V. SCOPE OF WORK The Scope of Work for this RFP shall include, but not limited to the following Construction Services: 1. Provide constructability analysis with particular attention to the schedule and budget and evaluate materials and methods to assist the District with identifying cost savings measures. 2. Prepare preliminary and detailed estimates of project costs. 3. Development of detailed construction critical path project schedule and campus considerations. 4. Attend meetings as necessary. After assigning the Responsible Contractor, the following shall occur: 5. Soliciting bids for assembly of a GMP. 6. Presentation of GMP to Board. 7. Administrating Construction of Project. 8. Coordination of record drawings and specifications. 9. Obtaining and coordinating final testing, documentation, and governmental inspections. 10. Preparation of accounting and closeout reports. 11. Other responsibilities as necessary for the completion of the project.
