DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of remodeling the existing Recorder's Office and Attorney's Office at the Morgan County Building. The remodel work will include demolition and replacement of walls, ceilings, and flooring. LOCATION OF WORK: The work location is the Morgan County Building at 48 West Young Street, Morgan, Utah. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: Direct all questions for this project to Bret Heiner, Morgan County Public Works at 801-845-4047. OWNER=S RIGHTS RESERVED: Morgan County Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in a proposal, and to make awards in the interest of the County. Award of the contract will be at the County's discretion based on their evaluation and determination of which proposal best meets the County's needs. Morgan County is seeking proposals for remodeling work at the Morgan County Building. Offices for the County Recorder and the County Attorney will be remodeled. Remodeling work will include the demolition of existing features and new finishes, as shown on the attached schematics. These office areas will be remodeled to a fully functional finished condition with all features and appurtenances necessary for the intended use. Details are shown on the attached schematics. The remodel work will include: o Demolition and removal of existing fixtures o Refinishing all surfaces o Other work is indicated on the schematic drawings. EXISTING CONDITIONS Those submitting proposals are responsible for site visits and observation of conditions that will affect the work. QUALIFICATIONS The Contractor must meet the following minimum qualifications: o Utah contractor/professional licenses in the categories applicable to the work o Experience with similar remodeling work All project work must be completed before April 31, 2024. In addition, the Contractor must complete the work within 30 calendar days following the beginning of the demolition work. ore beginning work on the project, the Contractor shall deliver to Morgan County: $ Payment and Performance bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. $ Proof of coverage under Workers Compensation insurance $ A certificate showing of automobile and liability insurance coverage with minimum coverage amounts of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence with a $2,000,000.00 aggregate Proposals will be opened at the time, date, and location indicated in the advertisement. The proposal pricing shall remain firm for not less than sixty (60) calendar days from receipt of the proposal.
