Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Courtdale, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Base Project consists of demolition, rough site grading, sidewalk installation, landscaping, and safety surfacing. Alternate Bids will also be received for landscaping, fence replacement, and pavilion installation, to be awarded at the Borough's discretion. The Project will be funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) through Luzerne County. The Project will require Davis-Bacon Wage Rates. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. All bidders must submit bid security of a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142). *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. $50,000-$75,000 Question Deadline 01/23/2024 All questions shall be submitted using Bidding Documents Website (PennBid). Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Extent of Contract: 1. Unless otherwise indicated, the work described in this Section for each contract shall be complete systems and assemblies, including products, components, accessories, and installation required by the Contract Documents. 2. Trenches and other excavation for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. 3. Each contract includes blocking, backing panels, sleeves, and metal fabrication supports for its own work. 4. Furnishing of access panels for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. Installation of access panels shall be the work of each contract for its own work. 5. Equipment pads for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. 6. Roof-mounted equipment curbs for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. 7. Painting for the work of each contract shall be the work of the General Contractor. 8. Cutting and Patching: Cutting provided under each contract for its own work. Patching for the Work of each Contract shall be the work of the General Contractor. B. Work in the General Construction Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Remaining work not identified as work under other contracts. 2. Development and maintenance of the construction schedule. 3. Site preparation, including clearing, grubbing, tree trimming, and earthwork. 4. Site improvements, including pedestrian paving, and landscaping. 5. Selective demolition. 6. Foundations, including footings. 7. Slabs-on-grade, including earthwork. 8. Site Grading. 9. Park timber installation. 10. Coordination with Playground installer for installation of playground equipment. 11. Concrete site work. 12. Geotextile and safety surfacing for playground. C. Work in the Park Equipment Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Purchasing and installation of new park equipment. 2. Purchase, removal and installation of basketball hoops.
