An Invitation for Bid (IFB) is planned to be issued on or about January 17, 2024. LOCATION OF WORK: Various locations throughout the Detroit VAMC The general intent of this project is to remove and replace 38 Bio- Hoods, 3 Laminar Flow Cabinets and 50 Chemical Fume Hoods Detroit VAMC. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision, and as-built information and all other related information to the remove and replace 38 Bio- Hoods, 3 Laminar Flow Cabinets and 50 Chemical Fume Hoods. Work includes general construction, alterations, necessary removal of existing structures and construction, as shown and specified in the drawings and specifications. Construction shall be performed in compliance with manufacturer s recommendations and applicable Codes and VA Battle Creek building standards. The period of performance for the project is Three Hundred Sixty-Five Days (365) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Complete details of the project requirements will be provided via issuance of the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contractors, with a small business size standard of $45 million. Magnitude of cost for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract within 120 days from bid opening date. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
