Charlotte County is requesting proposals from qualified Contractors to provide professional Construction Manager at Risk services as part of a construction team, which includes design consultants and the County, for the second phase to Charlotte County William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park in conjunction with the first phase of G.C. Herring Park. These projects shall include Community Services design standards, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design principals, and meet any grant requirements.
LOCATION: William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park, is located at 20499 Edgewater Drive, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952. G.C. 1. One (1) large pavilion
2. Three (3) Bocce Ball Courts covered with shade canopies
3. Two (2) Pickleball Courts with lights
4. One (1) Tennis Court with lights
5. Sanitary utility connection to existing park restroom
6. All required furniture, fixtures, and equipment including, but not limited to, park furniture and park trash/recycling
receptacles
G.C. Herring Park Phase 1 Elements include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. One (1) playground for ages 2-5 with shade
2. One (1) playground for ages 5-12 with shade
3. Demolition of existing and construction of new basketball court
4. A multi-purpose field area
5. Exercise/running/walking track
6. Four (4) Pickleball courts
7. One (1) Tennis court
8. Two (2) Sand Volleyball courts
9. One (1) Large pavilion
10. Additional parking
11. Lighting for parking lot
12. All required furniture, fixtures, and equipment including, but not limited to, park furniture, park trash/recycling receptacles,
and park water fountains The construction shall be completed within 365 calendar days from the notice to proceed date. The total project budget for the design, building, equipment, and all fees of the William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park Phase 2 is $1,750,000.
