A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The project involves the instillation of a new ADA entrance door for the Hammonton Library and miscellaneous work as indicated on drawings and specifications. Each bid when submitted shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Atlantic County Improvement Authority, on the form furnished with the Bid Forms and other Contract Documents, for a sum of ten (10) percent of the total bid amount (said Bid Bond not to exceed $20,000). Each bid shall also be accompanied by such other documents and information as are required by the Bid Documents. Bidders are required to comply with the laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey pertaining to construction projects, including, but not limited to the following: N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27, Law Against Discrimination; N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 An Act Requiring the Reporting of the Names and Addresses of Shareholders or Partners owning over Ten Percent (10%) of an Enterprise; , N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq., Prevailing Wage Act; N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 Business Registration Act; N.J.S.A. 19:44 A-20.4 et. seq., New Jersey Local Unit Pay to Play Law; and all amendments thereof. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. The bidders/offerors must submit documentary evidence of minority and women business enterprises and of Section 3 businesses who have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted concurrently with the bid. The provisions of the Federal Government Department of Labors current wage rate determinations and the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act are requirements of this project. The higher of the Federal or State Wage Rate and the higher of the Federal or State Fringe Benefit Rate shall prevail. The Atlantic County Improvement Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids. 1. Supply and installation of a single 3'-0" x 7'-2" FRP exterior door, including aluminum frame and all scheduled and required hardware. Material shall be as detailed within the technical specifications. 2. Removal of existing masonry wall construction as required to accommodate the installation of the new door and frame. 3. Selective masonry restoration and flashing installation where designated and as required. 4. Construction of a reinforced concrete pad at the immediately outside of the new door. 5. Site grading and restoration as required to accommodate the installation of the new door and concrete pad. Restoration work shall include the removal of an existing tree and other vegetation, backfilling and compaction of the resulting excavation, regrading of the site to assure positive drainage away from the building and site restoration.
