Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Lafayette, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and municipal facility.

Each Quote Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Payable to the Lafayette Consolidated Government, the Amount of Which Shall Be Five Percent (5%) of the Base Price Plus Additive Alternates. If a Bid Bond is Used, It Shall Be Written by a Surety or Insurance Company Currently on the U. S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service List of Approved Bonding Companies, Which is Published Annually in the Federal Register, by a Louisiana Domiciled Insurance Company With at Least an a- Rating in the Latest Printing of the a. M. Best's Key Rating Guide To Write Individual Bonds Up to Ten Percent of Policyholders' Surplus as Shown in the a.m. Best's Key Rating Guide or by an Insurance Company, Which is Either Domiciled in Louisiana or Owned by Louisiana Residents, That is in Good Standing and Licensed to Write Bid Bonds. The Bid Bond Shall Be Issued by a Company Licensed to Do Business in Louisiana and Countersigned by a Person Who is Under Contract With The Surety Company or Bond Issuer as a Licensed Agent in This State and Residing in This State. The Successful Contractor May Be Required to Execute Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the Full Amount of the Contract as More Fully Defined in the Quotation Documents. No Contractor May Withdraw His Quote for at Least Forty-five (45) Days After the Time Scheduled for the Opening of Quotes. Each Quote Shall Be Submitted Only on the Bid Form Provided With the Specifications. Quotes Will Be Evaluated by the Purchaser Based on the Lowest Responsible Quote Submitted Which is Also In Compliance With the Specifications. The Lafayette Consolidated Government Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Quotes or Any Portions Thereof, to Waive Informalities and to Select the Material That Best Suits Its Needs. If the Project is Asbestos or Hazardous Waste, Contractors Submitting Quotes in the Amount of $1.00 or More Shall Be Properly Licensed in Accordance With Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950. Contractors Shall Be Licensed for the Classification of "Rigging, House Moving, Wrecking And Dismantling". Contractors or Contracting Firms Submitting Quotes in the Amount of $50,000.00 or More Shall Certify That They Are Licensed Contractors Under Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and Show Their License Number on the Front of the Sealed Envelope in Which Their Quote is Enclosed. Quotes in the Amount of $50,000.00 or More, Not Submitted in Accordance With This Requirement, Shall Be Rejected and Shall Not Be Read. Additional Information Relative to Licensing May Be Obtained From the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, Out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Lafayette Consolidated Government Strongly Encourages the Participation of Dbe's (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) in All Contracts or Procurements Let by the Lafayette Consolidated Government for Goods and Services and Labor and Material. To That End, All Contractors and Suppliers Are Encouraged to Utilize Dbe's in the Purchase or Sub-contracting of Materials, Supplies, Services, and Labor and Material, In Which Disadvantaged Businesses Are Available. Assistance in Identifying Said Businesses Might Be Obtained by Calling (337) 291-8410. Article 7-erasures Bidders Should Avoid Making Mistakes, Delineations or Other Corrections on Bids, Since Such May Make It Difficult for Lafayette Consolidated Government to Ascertain the Information Contained in the Bid. In the Event That a Bidder Must Make Such Corrections to a Bid, the Corrections Should Be Made in Such a Manner That the Information Contained on the Bid Form Can Be Fairly and Reasonably Discerned and Ascertained by Lafayette Consolidated Government. Lafayette Consolidated Government Shall Have the Right to Reject Any Bid in the Event That It is Unable to Reasonably Determine the Information and Bids Supplied by the Bidder Therein. The Lafayette Consolidated Government Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids. Lafayette Consolidated Government Also Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids Should the Total Bid Be in Excess of Appropriated Funds and Additional Funding Cannot Be Made Available. Without Limiting the Generality of the Foregoing, Any Bid Which is Incomplete, Obscure, or Irregular May Be Rejected; Any Bid Which Omits a Bid on Any One or More Items in the Bid Form May Be Rejected; Any Bid in Which Unit Prices Are Omitted or in Which Unit Prices Are Obviously Unbalanced May Be Rejected; Any Bid Accompanied by an Insufficient or Irregular Bid Security May Be Rejected. Provide access over the drainage canal (approx. 503 to the property for heavy equipment used in the demolition and removal of all debris. **The current bridge conditions can no longer support any weight load and alternate access over the canal will need to be included in the Quote.** Demolish and remove all aspects of structures and outbuildings on site to include slabs, footings, patios, walkways, permeable and non-permeable paving located at 209 PAULMAN DRIVE, LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA. Remove all fencing, culverts, concrete driveway sections, and debris found on the property. If pile foundation exists over land, piles must be cut 2 feet below grade. If pile foundation exists over any waterway or drainage canal, piles must be removed completely Disconnect, remove, and cap all underground utilities 2 feet below grade such as water, and sewer. Disconnect and remove all underground and overhead electrical and/or cable wires to meet code and standards ofthe appropriate electrical service provider Remove and properly dispose of all debris, including any other hazardous materials.
