Site work for a civil project in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of August 14, 2025, this project was pulled during bidding due to federal funding delays. The owner anticipates rebidding this fall or winter. Construction could follow in first quarter 2026. The original solicitation is preserved below for reference. The City of Crystal Lake will be accepting sealed request for proposals in accordance with specifications for Reestablish Crystal Creek Project Phase III Construction Engineering Services. The engineer will develop design alternatives to re-establish Crystal Creek. Between Highland Avenue and St. Andrews Lane, the creek enters two undersized and failing storm sewers. The goal of the project is to re-establish the open channel creek at this location and remove the existing storm sewers.
