Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Hickory, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility; for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.
1. Remove existing metal canopy and associated supports/connectors. a. Remove posts to at or below grade and patch concrete. b. Terminate all electrical at the building. These mostly serve lights on the canopy. 2. Remove or extend existing downspouts. a. Identify existing downspouts within post supports. Determine if they are adequate. Extend downspouts to underground system, either proposed or existing. End goal is to have a working downspout system to tie into existing and proposed drainage. b. New downspout extensions should be minimum of 6". Existing downspouts from gutters may be used and reduced to match new downspouts.
