All questions about this RFP must be received by January 12, 5:00 p.m. in writing, via email, to: Jessica Foss Assistant Purchasing Agent purchasing@baycounty.net SCOPE OF WORK: The Bay County Community Center Small Gym Floor is approximately 80x50 feet of vinyl composite tile. The floor is over 30 years old and is primarily used for athletics and community events. The floor is used consistently throughout the year. Bay County commissioned asbestos testing and the results came back with asbestos fibers in the tile at 2% and in the mastic at 4%, see exhibit A. Bay County is requesting the new floor be laid over the existing floor to eliminate removal and the need for abatement. Seeking multiple flooring options to replace the multipurpose floor that meet the follow needs: o Multiple flooring options may be submitted from vendors for this RFP. o Durable multipurpose flooring. o Use of flooring includes: o Athletics such as: basketball, pickleball, volleyball, baseball. o Tables and chairs for events. o Can withstand a roughly 2000-pound lift on occasion for maintenance related items. o Moveable aluminum bleachers get rolled in and out on occasion. o The floor must include permanent game lines for basketball, volleyball, and one (1) pickleball court. o The floor has two (2) volleyball floor sockets for the netting system. o Cove/wall/base board as recommended. o Floor coloring - Please provide the most economical options. o Bid price must include installation laid over the existing floor. Proposals must be returned in a sealed envelope clearly marked "BAY COUNTY COMMUNITY CENTER GYM FLOOR REPLACEMENT - DELIVER TO PURCHASING IMMEDIATELY."
